Role Overview & Operational Scope
An agent swarm without a nervous system suffers from coordination lag and signal loss. You will architect the high-throughput, low-latency signaling fabric that connects perception modules, reasoning nodes, and tool-execution sandboxes into a cohesive, lightning-fast cognitive system.
Key Responsibilities & Production Deliverables
- Design and deploy sub-millisecond inter-agent communication channels using gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and Redis Streams.
- Implement resilient backpressure, rate-limiting, and priority event queuing for thousands of concurrent agent workers.
- Build real-time bidirectional WebSocket streaming protocols for live user interaction and browser automation telemetry.
- Ensure fault-tolerant event delivery with idempotent message processing and state recovery guarantees.
- Benchmark and optimize memory allocations, socket reuse, and OS-level network parameters for maximum IOPS.
Mandatory Foundational Knowledge
- Distributed systems theory: CAP theorem, event-driven architectures, consensus mechanisms, and publish-subscribe patterns.
- Network protocol internals: TCP flow control, HTTP/2 multiplexing, WebSocket framing, and binary serialization.
- Linux system internals, non-blocking I/O (epoll/kqueue), and asynchronous concurrency models.
Mandatory Practical Skills & Architecture
- High proficiency in Node.js (AsyncIO/worker threads), Go, or Rust for systems-level backend engineering.
- Proven experience with distributed message brokers: Redis (Streams/PubSub), RabbitMQ, or Apache Kafka.
- Expertise in profiling CPU/memory bottlenecks and eliminating garbage collection spikes.
